- Never allow battery fluid to enter open drains or waterways,
- Never dispose of batteries in trash bins or landfill,
- Never attempt to charge, jump, fill, or handle batteries unless wearing the proper PPE,
- Never connect battery charger leads to a battery unless the charger is turned off,
- Never charge the battery faster or at a higher rate than that specified by the manufacturer,
- Never charge a battery with a damaged or swollen case as it may explode,
- Never remove the vent caps when charging a battery
